A description is made of a patient with tabes dorsalis and concomitant monocular diplopia. The etiology and pathogenesis of this sight disorder is discussed. The appearance of the cerebral monocular diplopia is explained, in this particular case, with damaging of the posterior longitudinal bundle. It is further stated that the paresis of the right abducens nerve (sixth cranial nerve) may exert a certain influence insofar appearance of the symptom is concerned.
