A case-report of severe tropical malaria complicated with acute renal failure and hemolytic anaemia

Abstract

Malaria is one of the most popular tropical parasitic diseases in the world. In our country, the disease occurs as a deposit form in bulgarian or foreign citizens, visited areas with endemic distribution.

The purpose of this study is to present a clinical case of an import severe tropical malaria, complicated by renal failure and hemolytic anaemia in 45- yearold man, hospitalized in University Hospital `St. Marina` Varna. We describe the clinical features, outcome and treatment of the disease.
