R. Angelova

Abstract

Nowadays in spite of the broad network of social services there exist children who are neglected and without any parental care and control at all. This issue is currently faced by the society, future and present social workers as well. The purpose of this work consists in the concept that during the course of studies the future social worker should independently elaborate a set of ideas of social services directed to the children on the street. During the education, the basic requirements to be met by a given preliminary design are taught. The next step consists in its practical elaboration. The foundation of ‘Arch` Centre for Work with Children in the town of Pleven includes a variety of activities. Here be- longs the analysis of the necessity of creation of such a centre and of the needs of future consumers. In addition, one should plan the performance of activities related to healthy lifestyle skills, interest-focused pursuits as well as timely reporting the results from such a complex activity. The work on the creation of the preliminary design within the preparation of the future social worker reveals his creative potential, active thinking and getting to the heart of the problems devoted to the social work with the children on the street.
