In teaching Russian as a foreign language currently tests became the most common form of control. A system of testing foreign citizens who study Russian language is developed in Russia and successfully operates for 20 years. The hierarchy level is defined, materials containing a description of communicative and speech competence are published and received international recognition. Standard, practice and control tests are widely used. However, the system cannot be successful if the system does not develop.
The report analyzes the contents of normative documents and test materials, examines some aspects, the development of which will ensure further development of the system. In particular, it is required to eliminate existing gaps in Standards and Requirements, correction of some parametric characteristics is needed, and it is necessary to draw attention to the accordance of control objects proposed in tests with the contents of Standards, etc.
