Abstract

The text contains impressions of the life of the Bulgarian diaspora in Australia. The study on Bulgarian language of our expatriats living in Australia took place in the summer of 2016. It shared impressions of the Bulgarian Sunday school in Sydney, aiming to preserve the Bulgarian identity of our children in this distant continent. Discussed are also other institutions working and involved to preserve our ethnic memory (patriotic associations, radio programs, churches, community centers), and various forms of dissemination of Bulgarian culture and traditions. In multinational Australia there is no racial and religious prejudices. There is evidence showing the sincere involvement of this distant country with our collective identity.
