With Google Translate on the market, оne of the most obvious insights is that there is no longer any purpose in giving translation assignments as homework, as Google Translate in many cases would produce a result that could ensure if not a good grade, then at least a passing one. This suggests that more attention should be paid to teaching techniques for discovering where Google Translate fails, and how to correct these errors. The article discusses a number of typical translation errors that students could be trained to spot.
