CULTUROLOGY ASPECTS IN COMMUNICATIVE LEARNING. TYPES OF COMPETENCES AND FUNCTIONS

Abstract

Intercultural communication competence is multi-dimensional in nature, implicating not only the linguistic competence, but also the power of perceiving and interpreting socio-cultural events, and the behavioral ability of coping independently with cross-cultural encounters. It is a universal phenomenon. In the learning process, the students must be influenced by the context, targeting the cultural creation of meaningful paradigms, defining the double model of the educational process. „Competence` itself is shown as a kind of realization, interpretation, negotiation in accordance to generating meaning. It is represented in its correspondence to the scope of psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics and culturology. Defining the communicative needs of the students leads to the necessity of planning the processes in building the particular competence. Therefore, language teaching is based on the idea of communication
