Effective communication in community-based health projects involves all stakeholders, sharing of information and consultations at all levels. The management of the communications for the active engagement of communities in all phases of the healthcare projects is critical for the project success and the sustainability of the achieved outcomes. Based on specific health interventions in different cultural environment, several successful communicative strategies are analyzed for the building of trust, the engagement of the community and community-based organizations as well as the active involvement of the stakeholders. From the perspective of the management of community-based health projects, the emphasis is placed on the process of communication and the ways in which it facilitates the development and the implementation of activities such as health promotion, encouragement and sustaining health behavior in the communities.
