High reliability data center for cardiology information

Rosen Radkov, Yoto Yotov

Abstract

Heart failure as an end stage to all cardiovascular diseases is a problem the solution to which requires that the physician possess a large volume of information related to the patient condition. The centralized processing of this information necessitates the establishing of a database with a provision of high level access and uninterrupted function. In practice this would be accomplished by the creation of a Center for Monitoring of Patients with Heart Failure. We are present- ing a technical solution to the establishment of a high reli- ability data center ensuring the functioning of the monitor- ing center. In addition to this we have included a definition of the data, which are to be reliably collected, processed and stored.
