Specifics of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation in patients with pulmonary embolism

Abstract

Rehabilitation of pulmonary embolism is part of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. It is conducted under special conditions because of the higher risk of recurrence, complications, and sudden cardiac death. The article presents some of the characteristics of rehabilitation based on the risk degree in pulmonary embolism and the main steps in setting up a rehabilitation program.
