Yoanna Tsvetkova, Kameliya Narleva

Abstract

The cruise industry is going through a dynamic evolution driven by technological advances, changing market demands and increasing pressure for sustainability. Current industry trends include the implementation of innovative solutions such as energy optimization systems and personalization of customer experiences through artificial intelligence. The expanding market and the growing demand for luxury and specialized cruises reflect the changing passenger preferences for unique and sustainable experiences.

The main challenges facing the sector include addressing environmental issues such as carbon emissions, ocean pollution and overtourism, as well as the need for socially responsible practices. The sector must also address economic challenges by balancing affordability, quality and sustainability.

In this regard, the aim of the report is to highlight, through research and analysis of current trends and challenges, the role of sustainability as a key factor in driving innovation in the cruise industry. To achieve this goal, the importance of systematically implementing sustainable practices within the industry is also explored, ensuring its long-term viability and positive global impact.
