Integrated care – Theoretical Formulation and Application of Integrated Care for Sleep Apnea Treatment

Abstract

Sleep apnoea is a pathological state widely spread among the population.
It decreases both, the quality of life and life expectancy. Sleep apnoea is considered to be a risk factor for other chronic diseases and conditions. Timely diagnosis and treatment depends on multidisciplinary care provided by a variety of medical professionals. Participants involved in the multidisciplinary teams, possibilities for integrated care application for sleep apnea and potential benefits are discussed.
