The Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis (RRP) is a relatively rare pathologic entity, which is characterized morphologically by the presence of mucous papillomatous lesions in the respiratory airways. The most frequent target organ is larynx. The RRP affects both adult and pediatric population, and the patient’s age determines some specific clinical features. Male adult patients are affected more frequently than female patients and the papillomatous lesions are solitary, and are less prone to recidivism. In the pediatric group both sexes are affected equally, the papillomatous lesions are multiple and are characterized by high recurrent rate. The article considers some epidemiologic features of pediatric RRP.
