Abstract

Postoperative bleeding after adenotonsillectomy is complication in 0,6% of patients who underwent electrocautery tonsillectomy and in 7.6% of patients who underwent classic tonsillectomies We report the case of a 9-year and I ! months --0ld man with hemophilia B who was adenotonsillectomy performed and heavy bleeding. A careful review of the available literature has shown with a moderate degree of evidence that surgery can be safely performed in haemophilic patients with either low-responding or high-responding inhibitors.
