Димитър Димитракиев, Венцислав Станков, Kристиана Aтанасова

Abstract

The article deals with aspects of safety of navigation in the context of risk assessment for the occurrence of emergency and introduces tools to manage and reduce the risk. The importance of the human factor in the management and decision-making through the improvement of practical skills using simulators is underlined. Emphasis is placed on the importance of established procedures detailing actions in different situations. It underlines the necessity of access to relevant information regarding risk assessment.
