In 2025, Bulgaria marks the 120th anniversary of the establishment of its first children's seaside sanatorium—a unique medical institution founded near Varna. This sanatorium marked the beginning of the organized fight against osteoarticular tuberculosis in children by utilizing natural healing factors such as sea climate, sun, air, and seawater baths.
