The study o f the antistreptolysin titer after the method of Kalbak and of the rheumatoid factor, after the method of Waaler-Rose as modified by Svartz and Schlosmann, is carried out on a series of 105 albino rats. The animals are divided in to two groups - 31 control rats, and 74 with experimental moycarditis and arthritis.
The results obtained demonstrate that after the first injections, the changes in antistreptolysin titer are insighificant, but after the third and subseguent injections, the titer shows a sharp increase.
The rheumatoid factor is established in a large percentage of the animals as early as after the first injections.
