The influence of zinc ions, at dose 0,05 mg/100 g body weight, exerted upon the activity of 5-nucleotidase and adenyl-pyrophosphatase in the aortic wall of intact and adeenelectomized female albino rats is investigated. It is found out that after an 8-day course, at 4 times daily intramuscular injections of zinc ions, a statistically reliable increase of the activity in the above listed enzymes occurs.
Bilateral adrenalectomy causes reduction of activity in both enzymes.
The introduction of small doses zinc sulfate into adrenalectomized animals brings about a slight increase of 5-nucleotidase activity which is not statistically reliable, as well as a statistically reliable, reduction of statistically reliable reduction of adenyl pyrophosphaadenyl purophosphatase activity.
The influence of zinc ions upon the enzyme activity is explained with adrenal activity stimulation.
