Abstract

Erythroderma /exfoliative dermatitis/ is an inflammatory process affecting 90% of the total body surface area. Erythema, infiltration and desquamation are the main clinical features of the syndrome. It appears in the context of many dermatological and systemic disorders, as well as neoplastic proliferation of either skin or internal parenchymal or ans. Erythroderma is a life-threathening condition which requires emergent complex measures. Herein a short over view of the clinical, pathogenetic, diagnostic and therapeutic characteristics of the syndrome is presented.
