During the acute phase of rheumatism autoantibodies have been established in the human body. After the first attack in the beginning of the disease, autoantibodies have been found in 25% of the patients, and by the 25th day - in 100% of them. After the second rheumatic attack autoantibodies have been established from the very beginning of the disease in 100% of the patients.
The titre of the autoantibodies is highest between the 15th and 25th day from the beginning of the attack. After the acute attack, the titre of the autoantibodies decreases but never reaches zero.
