The author considers the treatment of 54 patients with acute pancreatitis and cho- lecystopancreatitis, of which 30 women and 24 men aged between 21 and 76 years. He mentions the most important symptoms with which the patients have been accepted at the hospital. In all of the cases faulty feeding has been established - the fault being in itaking abundant meals. A complex treatment has been carried out. To all of the patients trasylol has been administered. The good results of the treatment compared with the past experience, when no trasylol has been ever administered, are now assigned to it.
Nine of the patients have been operated, 4 of them have died - 2 of peritonitis and other two of bronchopneumonia. Of the not operated patients one has died as the diagnosis was set after the autopsy.
