Cystotonometric investigation is carried out in a series of 40 patients with adenoma of the prostate. Three cystotonometric curves are distinguished (hypertonic, normotonic and atonic).
Histometric study is performed 15 times on biopsy material, obtained from the urinary bladder wall, and the inference is reached that adenomatous hyperplasia accounts for a slower decompensation of the bladder.
