Abstract
Data are reported on the vascularization of the pericardium in dogs of different ages. Clear-cut age differences are found. In growing dogs, aged one, two and four months, a single vascular network is described, from which separate capillaries are distributed in depth. Two vascular networks are present in adult dogs. It is furthermore established that with advancing age a certain degree of rarefication of the vessels occurs. Data are submitted on the distance between the vascular networks and the mesothelium.
