21 strains of А2 grip virus were isolated during 1962 grip epidemic in Varna. The isolated strains were studied in detail from biologic and antigenic point of view. 16 out of 18 strains studied were found to bе of the avid type, while the two that were left, were not avid.
Antigenically, as а rule, the strains isolated are more related to strain A2-Sofia 1/57, than to strain A 2-Engl.
