Zincemia has been examined in 129 patients with various internal disoiders, as well as in 22 healthy individuals serving as controls after the ditizon method of Wolf - modified by Rechenberger. Zincemia in the healthy individuals amounted to 132±23 per cent.
Hypozincemia has been observed in plasmocytoma, in the acute stage of myocardial infarction, liver cirrhosis, chronic nephritis, advanced cancer of the internal organs, in some patients with chronic lympho- and myelolencosis and during the first attacks of rheumatic fever.
Normozincemia has been found in hypertension, aterosclerotic myocardosclerosis, peptic ulcer, bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, in repeated attacks of rheumatic fever, liver cirrhosis, intensively treated with vitamin B12, sideroprive anemias, single cases of lymphogranuloma, infectious lymphomononucleois, hyperthyreosis treated with thyreostatics and diabetes.
Hyperzincemia has been observed in single cases of chronic bronchitis with cor pulmonale and hypercapria, in acute leucosis with manifested hemorrhagic diathesis, in two patients with cancer and melena, and in one - with thyreoiditis.
