Ureterorectal fistula: a reason for recurrent bacteriuria

Abstract

The differential diagnosis of recurrent bacteriuria includes many different state and diseases for which urologists must be very familiar. Ureterorectal fistu- la is a uncommon clinical entity that can lead to re- current bacteriuria. We report a case with the patient who has such a fistula, which has been carry on rad- ical surgery for removal of the fistula. Three months later, the patient is in good condition with no evidence of relapse of fistula from performed CT scan.
