Numerous studies have shown that employers nowadays value soft skills more than any general or specific knowledge acquired by students in the course of their studies. The project described in this paper illustrates an effort to teach students from three universities located on three continents soft skills, among which: critical thinking and problem solving, project development and implementation, teamwork and leadership, communication, intercultural interaction, time management and work ethics. The involved universities are: the University of Economics in Varna, Bulgaria, the National University of Costa Rica and Oklahoma Community College, USA. The students worked in international teams and had to reach a common goal on the achievement of which they reported at the end of the project. The activities carried out within the project and the interaction that students had to initiate and maintain in order to fulfil the tasks assigned to them promoted the development and/or furthering of valuable soft skills that we believe enhanced the involved students’ employability and general adaptability to the changing conditions on the current job market.
