Night manometry of the upper airway in snoring and obstructive sleep apnea

L. Matev, M. Milkov, Ts. Tonchev, A. Pomakova, P. Nedev, G. Iliev, Ts. Dikova, H. Madjova

Abstract

The present survey systematizes the most recent scientific literature devoted to the issues of the topic diagnostic significance of night pressure measurements of the upper airway. The contributions of the eminent researchers who have elaborated both Reggie® and АpneaGraph® systems are indicated. The role of the differentiation between the ‘upper’ and ‘lower’ upper airway obstructions are emphasized. The clinical importance of the night manometry is juxtaposed to that of the druginduced videoendoscopy during sleep.

Keywords
