Abstract

The purpose of this study is to review the role of biologically active molecules that take part in the processes of tumor angiogenesis and simultaneasly in the process of metastasis. Also being discussed is the importance of matrix metalloproteinases, VEGF-A and its receptors and the lymphangiogenesis as part of the process ot metastasis being formed and seeded. The distinctive stages of this process are being thouroughly reviewed.

Keywords

metastasis, VEGF, neoangiogenesis, stages of the process of metastasizing
