The granulocytes peroxidasic activity of 21 healthy persons (a control group) and of 40 patients with anaemia due to ferrous dificit has been investigated. The average value of the peroxidasic index for the control group is 2,52. In the patients with acute and durative anaemia caused by ferrous dificit a decrease of the peroxidasic index was established with about 50%, while with the medium acute and already treated ferrous dificit, this index is either near to the normal or normal.
It is admitted that the acute and durative ferrous dificit, together with the disorders in the haemoglobin synthesis, influences the metabolism of the cellular haemin per oxidase.
