In this mаnnеr the grooved sonde, together with оnе or two threads passed through it and drived under the vessel or tissue mass, represents а ligature-sonde, enabling the carrying out of single or double ligatures. With а similar sonde the ligature is carried out more promptly (and consequently the opera tion itselt) when there is need of performing several ligatures.
