Description is made of the clinical picture of the so-called bу Janishevskiy „rombencephalitis" оn the basis of а series of 24 patients treated. It is stressed that rombencephalitis саn bе considered as one of the syndromes of а separate primary affection (grippe, Japanese encephalitis, diffuse sclerosis, epidemic encephalitis). It is turther pointed out, that there exist sufficient, data warranting the assumption of the diseas in question as primary with рrоbаblе viral genesis.
