The authors have personally examined 53 patients in periods varying between 1 and 11 years following the operation after Bilroth-Finsterer. Very good results have been obtained in 68 per cent of the operated on. In 8 cases they are unsatisfactory, and in 9 - the results are poor. It is pointed out that poor results are observed also in patients presenting absolute indications for resection. This makes the authors assume that adaptation of the organism to changes occurring after operation after Bilroth II is insufficient in some cases.
