Abstract
Rapid development of information technology and communications is typical for the new millenium. It is almost impossible people to imagine the world economy life or any industry of local nature with inherent social activity, without the existence of shipping. Current trends in the development and provision of software applications and information systems are characterized by continuous increase in their range and tendency of bringing more to the needs of managers and professionals. Each subsequent generation of information systems and technologies features even greater options and special opportunities in the requirements direction and the needs of managers.
