Dentistry is a profession subject to a wide range of stressors that can lead to burnout. Dentists should be aware of these stressors and try to control them to avoid professional dissatisfaction. The dentist helps to solve other people’s problems on a daily basis. The work is associated with negative emotions, dissatisfaction, nervousness, frustration, depressing situations. The causes of the syndrome are due to the nature of each individual, the working environment and working conditions, social contacts, conflict situations, lack of time, and the nature of the working environment.
Dentists need to focus on dealing with these stressors by making changes in working conditions. Dentistry can be as annoying or exciting as one makes it.
